Nice drawing Dede. I like him, he looks like he's up to something. I also like how the stripes on the back of the chair repeat the pattern in the squirrels fur. Kind of cool!
Is there a story behind this?

This squirrel is great - but I also just looked at your other work and really like it, the portraits, the colored pencil bird ATC's, the cat you drew for Tranquility, the water color boots...well all of it.

I'm with Laurie, all these posts are beautifully done. And the squirrel's fur is so real looking. Wonderful work!

Very cute squirrel... they tend to be quite clownish around our yard--always flitting here and there and up the trees at lightning speed. You've captured him beautifully!

teri, no, all colored pencil.
felicity, I used a photo of the squirrel, and lightly drew it, then just went on to colored pencils. :)
Thanks all for your nice comments.
I have visited most of your blogs as well, and will continue to. Thanks again.

I love it! You have captured this little guy beautifully. The fur is exquisite and I love the colours. The look of surprise on his face is priceless. I am inspired to use coloured pencils more often myself.
