You have no idea how many ways you have enriched my life: not only by sharing your invaluable artistic knowledge (and Happy Mail!), but, by allowing me to share in the friendship, camraderie, and humorous banter between you, your FIBs, and your family - including your post-office-running, cartwheeling Hubster - and, all at the flick of a Play switch!
Sorry number 10,000 must has taken what must have seemed to be a long time coming. The thing is, you're our "secret" artist much like a "secret" weapon, or a "secret" fishing hole, or even that "secret" bottle of cooking sherry on the top shelf behind the jug of olive oil. Did I say that out loud?!? Anyway... If word about our secret artist gets out, you'll have a million subscribers at least, and deservedly so. (Can't say I wouldn't love to win THAT gift! LOL) However, no one would ever be able to keep up with Chat, and you'd start the show by welcoming those of us attending... and that would be it. By luck about 5 months ago, I found you while searching on youtube and because of you Dede, I discovered Ustream and your faithful Fibs. I love watching and listening to you generously sharing your tips as well as answering patiently to everyone's endless questions. Finding you has been the greatest thing. Thank you for sharing your talent. I have gained inspiration and/or tips with every Ustream and Youtube show I watch. I'm a newbie colourist and am learning how to be the boss of my colourbook. My usual problem is I don't know where to start. To overcome this I have begun colouring bits I know what to do with or adding details/lines here and there. I have only finished one full page (colour along page with Peta Hewitt aka La Artistino)
I'm hoping to finish the page I'm working on out of "Outside the lines" colourbook soon so I can post it on twitter (once I figure out how to post). I'm really happy with the way its turning out. Its taking a while to finish though. I spend time just looking at it until I'm hit with inspiration on how to colour or add detail to the next bit.
